general blog for general ramblings. mostly about stuff that interests me or anything interesting or new that happens.
stuff I've been working on that isn't just illustration.
complaining away. might get depressing here and there.
no way it's a beanie baby on a beanie >:0!!!!!!
I've been wanting to make apparel for a really long time, and just recently I've decided to take that leap and get a sample made!!
Making apparel can get complicated and expensive fast, so I've decided to start with a beanie!! I wanted to
make something simple, but also still cute, colorful, silly. AND something that can be a great add-on for a super
colorful outfit!! As well as something very wormy, that too. We love inch the inchworm we love inch the inchworm!!!!!!!
I was really inspired by Decora fashion while making this. And the reason why I wanted to design a beanie as a start is because 1. I wanted to stick with something more simple
and straight to the point since I'm just starting 2. It's heading to the colder seasons so I feel like selling beanies would be a good time and 3. YOU CAN DECORATE THE HECK OUT OF YOUR BEANIE WITH PINS AND OTHER COLORFUL TRINKETS!!!! Yea, it's
already a very colorful beanie, but there's NEVER too much color.
I've decided to host a Kickstarter for this since the production cost is still quite pricey,
and I won't be able to cover the costs on my own...I'm crossing my fingers and hoping it gets fully funded cause I absolutely wanna sell these
beanies!!! I'm super happy with how they came out and I'd be super ecstatic to see how people would style this!! If you're interested, I included the link to the Kickstarter twice (three times if you're counting this one) and I'll be forever grateful for your support if you
choose to make a pledge. :,,3 It's currently still on prelaunch right now, but I plan to launch it on the 5th!
I really enjoy running this small business - making things that I love and sharing them with the world brings me so much joy and purpose...
Knowing that there's literally people out there all over the world who have my art on a keychain or something is still so crazy to me and makes me
indescribingly (is that a word?) happy!!! I'm definitely hoping that I'll be able to branch off to apparel in the future!!! And maaaybe be able
to do this for a living!?!?! I think that would be really cool.... :,)
If all goes well, I wanna work with more types of clothes, like t-shirts and sweaters. ...Maybe even cardigans, too...
There's some days where I'd just spend hours researching manufacturers and coming up with design ideas so hopefully one day there'll come a time where I'll be able to
bring more of my designs to life!!!
